The Market Line, a large-scale food hall & eatery, is located within the Essex Crossing development on the Lower East Side. The venue brings together an eclectic mix of vendors and restaurants reflecting the character and grit of the neighborhood. Inspired by the raw industrial nature of the LES, the space was designed with a refined and contemporary feel, featuring high-gloss ceramic tiled walls, polished concrete floors, and walnut tables and seating by Uhuru Design.
Below the mezzanine, The Grand Delancy is a 200-seat beer hall that serves as one of the main gathering spaces. Uhuru furnished the restaurant with white oak banquets, high tops, and oak communal tables and benches. While each vendor’s space was individually designed to reflect their brand, the use of Uhuru’s communal seating throughout the space creates a cohesive feel.
