Sales Associate - Remote

Overview

The Sales Associate (Remote) position is responsible for developing relationships and generating sales with dealers, A&D, and end users across the assigned geographic markets.  This is a unique opportunity to get in on the ground floor with the next generation commercial furniture manufacturer.  We are looking for someone with 5+ years of experience in the commercial office furniture trade, with strong dealer and A&D relationships and existing sales network.  This position will be a remote position initially and will be expected to travel locally when the macro environment permits. The starting base annual salary will be $80,000 base (negotiable) plus commission (not guaranteed) and possible equity.  The candidate will be expected to hit the ground running.  If you want to be part of a design-centric next generation furniture model, backed by years of design pedigree and a global supply chain, JOIN US!

 Responsibilities

  • Must have existing dealer relationships and sales network in greater NYC metro area
  • Must have a strong network in the A&D community and end user client bas
  • Expected to educate, market, and sell the value of Uhuru’s design-centric workplace solutions to end-users, dealers, architects and designers
  • Familiar with Salesforce, QBO, Podio, CET and other libraries (Myresourcelibrary, etc.)
  • Maintain appropriate sales activity levels at all times; minimum 10 sales appointments/calls per week
  • Achieve and exceed revenue, profitability and product mix sales goals
  • Develop business plan with management for weekly, monthly and quarterly strategic sales objectives
  • Set up product tests or demo’s for end-users as necessary and facilitate presentations for prospective clients
  • Complete sales activity & opportunity reports, sales order paperwork, installation assistance, and sales training as well as maintaining customer contact database
  • Serve as a liaison between customer service and the customer on shipment and quality matters
  • Lead strategic business and forecasting discussions with dealer principles to meet dealer sales goals, establish new accounts and grow existing customer sales

Skills and Qualifications

  • Candidate will have 5+ years business sales experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent sales experience preferred
  • Successful track record of planning and execution
  • Working knowledge of MS OFFICE and associated applications are required
  • Candidate must have adequate and dependable transportation to travel to and from customer site and a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance
